Depending on your use of the application, VanSpot Finder may process the following data:

• Account data: email address, user identifier, username or display name, login information, password login or Google login.
• Location data: approximate or precise location, only if you allow it, to display nearby spots and services.
• User-added content: spots, services, descriptions, reviews, comments, reports, photos, suggested changes and content awaiting approval.
• Usage data: searches, filters, favourites, viewed places and interactions with the application.
• Purchase data: premium status, purchase or subscription history, purchase identifier, activation or expiry date. VanSpot Finder does not collect your full payment card details.
• Technical data: device type, operating system, app version, technical logs, errors or information needed for security and diagnostics.

3. Purposes

This data is used to:

• operate the application;
• display spots, services and useful information;
• allow account creation and management;
• allow contributions, reviews, photos and reports;
• moderate user-added content;
• manage favourites and preferences;
• activate premium features through Google Play;
• ensure security, prevent abuse and fix bugs;
• reply to support or data deletion requests.

4. Legal bases

Processing is based, depending on the case, on:

• your consent, especially for location access;
• performance of the requested service;
• VanSpot Finder’s legitimate interest in security, moderation, abuse prevention and service improvement;
• applicable legal obligations.

5. Data sharing

Personal data is not sold.

It may be transmitted only to services needed for the operation of the application, including:

• hosting and technical infrastructure;
• Google services, including Google login and Google Play;
• transactional email or support services;
• competent authorities, only where required by law.

6. Public contributions

Approved content added by users may be visible to other app users: spots, services, reviews, comments, photos or practical information.

Content awaiting approval may be visible only to its author and the moderation team.

VanSpot Finder may refuse, hide, modify or delete inaccurate, outdated, abusive, unlawful content or content contrary to app rules.

7. Retention

Data is kept only for as long as necessary for service operation, security, moderation, support, purchase management or compliance with legal obligations.

If an account is deleted, associated personal data is deleted or anonymised, unless limited retention is necessary for legal, security, abuse prevention or rights defence reasons.

8. Security

VanSpot Finder implements reasonable measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or misuse.

As no system can guarantee absolute security, users should also protect access to their device and account.

You can also request deletion of specific data without deleting your account, such as reviews, contributions, photos or favourites.

Some data may be retained temporarily where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, prevent fraud or abuse, ensure service security or defend the publisher’s rights.

Under applicable regulations, you may request access, rectification, deletion, restriction or portability of your data, and object to certain processing where applicable.

11. Minors

VanSpot Finder is not intended for children. The application is mainly intended for users able to use a vehicle or organise their trips independently.
